We’re back.

After three months away, The Jazz Doof returns to Second Story Studios for Vol. 9, just as spring arrives in Melbourne.

We’ve got what you need: live bands, DJs, good people, a dancefloor, and plenty of room to settle in for the night.

Three rooms, each with its own pace.

Live music upstairs. DJs downstairs. And our new crowd favourite, the Yoga Room, for when you need to stretch, reset or take five.

The last few editions have sold out, and we’re very happy to be back.

Live jazz, soul, Afrobeat and groove-led performance.

DJ Room | Downstairs

House, jazz, soul, broken beat, disco and club music, moving deeper into the night.

Yoga Room | Grounding Space

Our new crowd favourite.

A quiet, low-lit space with mats, cushions and bean bags. Yoga sessions throughout the night, or simply somewhere to stretch, reset and take a breather.

Rich, textural alt-pop, contemporary R&B and indie soul.

Wild Gloriosa

Naarm-based neo-soul and R&B with velvety, jazz-inflected songwriting.

Tom Eclect and Bonnita guide the room between live sets upstairs.

Downstairs, Afrodisiac brings Afrobeat, house and club rhythms to the Rave Cave.

High Note Sound System bring their community-driven selections.

Crewneck return with deep, percussive house and rolling grooves.

CJ Medson takes things deeper into the night.
