Madcon
Madcon (short for Mad Conspiracy), made up of Tshawe Baqwa (Kapricon) and Yosef Wolde-Mariam (Critical) are a Norwegian hip hop/rap band. Kapricorn was born in Germany from South-African parents, but grew up in Tveita in Eastern Oslo. Critical was born in Norway with parents from Ethiopia and Eritrea. They have collaborated with a variety of artists in Norway, but did first receive real commercial recognition for their work with their partners from Paperboys. The track Barcelona from Paperboys feat. Madcon was a massive hit in Norway - Barcelona won the prize for most requested video of the year from Nordic channel ZTV, and was an important factor in Paperboys winning "Spellemannprisen". (Norwegian equivalent to the Grammys). Tshawe and Yosef are currently hosts of a tv-show called "The Voice of Madcon". The show airs Monday to Thursday from 10 PM to 11 PM on the Norwegian music channel "The Voice". The show features small-talk, music videos and interviews. --- Trivia: Tshawe won the 2007 edition of the norwegian version of Dancing With the Stars.

Emma Steinbakken
Since her breakthrough as a 15-year-old in 2018, Emma Steinbakken has embarked on a journey that few Norwegian artists can match. Her debut single, "No1t Gonna Cry," has garnered over 25 million streams, and she's already conquered the charts three times. In 2023, her highly anticipated debut album, "Home," was finally released, so did her EP "<3" recorded live in studio with her own musicians. In recent years, Emma's presence, captivating vocals, and storytelling abilities have left audiences spellbound in front of TV screens and concert stages all across Norway. At the same time, she's engaged in genre-expanding collaborations with the likes of Alan Walker, Matoma, and Kamelen. However, even as she's grown to become one of the country's biggest pop stars and even with a sold out solo performance at Oslo Spektrum, vulnerability and honesty remain pivotal for Emma, both in life and in her songwriting. During her upbringing, Emma often spent considerable time searching for the right words to describe her own feelings. Today, helping others articulate their emotions drives her creative process. Emma frequently draws from personal experience in both lyrics and expression to create relatability in her songs. As Emma herself puts it, music is at its finest when it forges connections between people, fostering a shared understanding of that lump in your stomach -- whether it's pleasant or painful.
