Brisbane, Australia's Violent Soho revive the fuzzed-out rock of the early '90s, borrowing Weezer's crunchy guitars and Nirvana's distortion-coated hooks. Featuring guitarists/vocalists Luke Boerdam and James Tidswell, bassist Luke Henery, and drummer Michael Richards, the band formed in 2004 and have since released three albums.

Their most recent, ‘WACO’ debuted at #1 on the Australian Album chart and achieved gold sales (35,000+). It spurred them onto 3 completely sold out tours of Australia (the last of which saw them sell out Brisbane’s iconic Riverstage & Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion) as well as a run of dates in North America.

WACO contains the gold selling singles ‘Like Soda’ and ‘Viceroy’. The band also won two ARIA awards for Best Rock Album and Best Group at the 2016 ARIA awards from their five nominations.

A staple of the Australian music landscape and revered live act they have appeared at major Australian festivals Including Splendour In The Grass, Groovin The Moo and Falls Festival among many others.

“It may have taken a decade for Violent Soho to break through, but if WACO is any indication, their climb isn’t anywhere near over.” - Rolling Stone.
  • Beddy Rays
    Beddy Rays
Beddy Rays started making music together soon after they forged a friendship on their primary school oval back in the day. The release of weekend anthem ‘Sobercoaster’ in 2020 really started shaking things up for these fun-loving larrikins. The cracker of a tune has now received Gold certification, amassed over 15 million streams and echoed throughout backyards of Australia during triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020.

Their highly anticipated and fully independent debut album was released in July 2022 and achieved #1 Vinyl and #2 Australian Album on the ARIA charts, as well securing the band a 'Breakthrough Artist' nomination at the 2022 ARIA Awards, marking a major milestone in the band’s career. The success of the album's lead single ‘Handful’ further cemented the four-piece as one of the country’s most beloved bands, securing them their second appearance in the triple j Hottest 100.

The band’s achievements don’t stop there. With multiple nominations at the Queensland Music Awards and National Indigenous Music Awards, and as winners of the Levi’s Music Prize, their talent and energy continue to gain well-deserved recognition. Their powerful rendition of Thelma Plum’s ‘Better in Blak’ for triple j's Like A Version added another memorable moment to their repertoire.

Known for their electrifying live performances, Beddy Rays have lit up hundreds of stages across Australia in recent years, including prime festival slots at Falls Festival, Spilt Milk, Splendour in the Grass, and Play on the Plains.

These days it’s almost impossible not to recognise a Beddys track, as their music has become a carefully curated recipe involving all the right ingredients: heartfelt lyrics, huge hooks, mosh-worthy riffs and a lingering sense of comradery and good vibes that underpins everything they create.
